The world novelty of the water bottle – SideFill
"Since my childhood, I have dreamed of creating something innovative and practical that simplifies everyday life while benefiting the environment. During my studies in Basel, I noticed how impractical conventional water bottles often are. They often don't fit under the tap for refilling, and their round shape takes up way too much space in my bag. It was difficult to store them along with my laptop and other flat items, which ultimately led me to stop bringing my own bottle altogether. Instead, I increasingly turned to PET bottles for on-the-go. I thought to myself: 'There must be a better solution.'"
"Why isn't there a water bottle that can be refilled anywhere and fits neatly next to my laptop in my bag?" That's how the idea for SideFill was born.
"After numerous designs and prototypes, I finally found the perfect shape of the bottle, inspired by Steve Jobs' biography and the rounded rectangle. I opted for 100% stainless steel to ensure durability and hygiene while avoiding plastic. To further enhance the positive impact of the SideFill bottle, we donate one franc for every product sold to our partner Everwave, which removes one kilogram of waste from rivers for every franc donated."
In 2023, "The World Innovation of the Water Bottle" was born and patented: SideFill—refillable, space-saving, and sustainable—a true everyday convenience. The product I had envisioned became a reality.
